Jackpot! A Laid-off construction worker purchased a tuxedo shirt at a yard sale in Newport Beach, California, for 5 clams. Turns out? The shirt was tailor-made for Frank Sinatra by shirtmaker Nat Wise, with the tags reading "Frank Sinatra" and dated "Feb. 1987". Rick Gorski, who did his background research on the shirt, contacting Anto Distinctive Shirtmakers (which had merged with Nat Wise) to inquire about the shirt's authenticity.
The $5 garment and Ol' Blue Eyes measurements (which were still on file) were a match. Apparently, Ol' Blue Eyes liked it with a tag 2 inches from the bottom, seven button holes and two in the french cuff, gathered sleeves and a double-stitched placket. Now, the shirt is up for auction -- at Don Presley Auctions -- making this $5 investment a collector's find. (via LATimes)
